Moira's ashes

Today we buried Moira's ashes. It just seemed so appropriate to wait until now. It was a special day with a thick covering of snow. While this made the day very beautiful it did mean a number of people who planned to be there were unable to make it due to the road conditions making travel by road almost impossible. We had always planned to keep the occasion small but this limited even those. Jill, David, Ian and Amanda decided to walk after abandoning efforts to drive the car up Boyne to the main road. Paul walked from his house struggling in his best shoes, suit and coat. Eironwy walked to the Frant Road and hitch hiked until being able to walk through the cemetery. Olivia, who walked to Somerville, missing us, met us at the Mount Edgcumbe when we returned for lunch. Everywhere looked so beautiful. A red robin looked on while we said our thoughts an felt our sorrows but also rejoiced in Moira's life and continued presence.
